About EFA
Edel
Fitzmaurice has over 25 years experience in the
Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Nutriceutical and Food
Industries.
Edel Qualified with a B.SC Hons in Industrial
Microbiology from University College Dublin.
She has worked with Abbott Laboratories in Donegal with
responsibilty for Microbiology and Manufacturing Quality
Assurance from 1981-1985.
From 1985 to 1988, she worked as a Laboratory Manager in
the Ross Laboratories Division of Abbott Laboratories in
Cootehill.
In 1988 she joined Cow And Gate, a divison of Nutricia.
With Nutricia she served in a number of roles in both
Wexford and The Netherlands including QA Manager,
Corporate Microbiologist, Quality Development
Co-ordinator and Laboratory Manager.
She moved in 1995 to Norton Ireland ( IVAX
Pharmaceuticals / Teva). She set-up the microbiology
laboratory and obtained FDA and IMB approval for the
laboratory. From 2003 to 2006, Edel was responsible for
the quality aspects of a new drug delivery system -
namely a dry powder inhaler which sucessfully launched
with 6 formulations.
Edel is currently undertaking studies in Pharmaceutical
Manufacturing Technology in Trinity College Dublin (
Qualified Person Qualification). |
